PIONEERTEX have developed new filter geotextile product for landfill drainage system.
The guide layer of a landfill is generally composed of a gravel layer and a geotextile filter layer. The gravel layer serves as a medium for collection and drainage, while the geotextile filter prevents garbage components or foundation soil from entering the gravel drainage layer and allows liquids to pass through. The location of the geotextile filter design is between the gravel drainage layer and the garbage, as well as between the foundation and the gravel drainage layer.
Specially designed geotextile filters are essential in landfill structures.. Because while allowing liquid to pass through, it is necessary to prevent the passage of garbage and foundation soil particles in the site while avoiding the blockage of the gravel drainage layer caused by this.
The quality standard as below specifies the performance requirements and testing methods for geotextile filters used in landfills.
performance requirement
Tensile strength: CMD>=30KN, MD>= 45KN
Tear strength: CMD>= 0.4KN, CMD>= 0.6KN
Breaking strength: CBR breaking strength >=3KN
Permeability coefficient: The geotextile filter should have sufficient permeability coefficient (≥ 1x10 ^ -3 m/sec) to ensure that the leachate can be quickly discharged
UV resistance: Geotextile filters should have strong UV resistance to ensure that they will not be damaged after prolonged use in sunlight
Application:
Geotechnical filters are mainly used for filtering the foundation soil of landfills, ensuring that groundwater is not blocked and maintaining stability between the foundation soil and drainage layer;
Its simple pore structure and high porosity enable it to effectively filter groundwater and prevent the groundwater drainage layer from being blocked.
