PIONEERTEX HDPE Rigid Perforated
Permeable Drainage Pipe Product Brochure
Technical Overview
HDPE Rigid perforated Permeable drainage pipes are high-strength drainage conduits engineered for efficient water infiltration and subsurface flow management. Made from durable polymers (e.g., PVC or HDPE), they feature precision-cut narrow slots (typically 0.5–1 mm wide) along the pipe body, enabling controlled water entry while blocking sediment ingress.
Key Features:
1. Large drainage capacity: The pipe has a high perforation rate of 75%, which can effectively collect rainwater. Its water infiltration capacity is more than 10 times that of traditional permeable pipes, and its performance is excellent. It can completely replace all traditional permeable pipes.
2. Long service life: the service life can reach more than 50 years. It is made of new HDPE raw materials, which has the characteristics of non decay, good aging resistance, energy conservation and environmental protection, and little soil pollution.
3. Construction is simple and fast: pipes only need to be connected with matching fittings such as straight pipes and elbows, and there is no need to wrap the pipe wall with geotextile when burying and backfilling the pipes. Only the geotextile needs to be laid flat on the gravel foundation, greatly saving the construction period.
4. High strength and anti settlement: The pipe material has excellent flexibility and is not easily damaged or broken due to improper construction. It does not affect its water permeability and will not break due to road settlement.
5. Low maintenance cost in the later stage: it can effectively prevent secondary leakage, quickly discharge the collected water, avoid soil erosion, have strong protection ability for road and other usage areas, extend the service life of road foundations, and require almost no maintenance.
Applications
- Sports Infrastructure : Golf course greens, stadium subsurface drainage.
- Landscape Engineering : Roof gardens, planter bed drainage layers.
- Civil Works : Retaining wall weep holes, highway embankment dewatering.
- Agriculture : Controlled root-zone drainage in precision farming.
Comparison with Corrugated Perforated Pipes | ||
Aspect | Rigid Perforated Pipe | Corrugated Perforated Pipe |
Water Entry | Slit-filtering (microns-scale) | Drilled holes (cm-scale) |
Sediment Control | Built-in filtration | Requires external geotextile |
Hydraulic Efficiency | Uniform inflow along full length | Localized inflow near holes |
Terrain Adaptation | Limited flexibility (needs fittings) | High flexibility (bends freely) |
